UTS Study Abroad Video Competition


Hey there!

Hope you enjoyed our Photo Competition as much as we did! You can take a look at our amazing winners right here. Now we have new surprises coming exclusively for Study Abroad and Exchange students.


Are you addicted to documenting every part of your semester abroad? Then this is the perfect competition for you! Create a short video compilation for a chance to be one of our featured videographers in the UTS Spring 2017 Study Abroad Video. Choose one of the following themes:

  • A day in your study abroad life

  • Your semester highlights

Dates

  • Entries open on Thursday 28th September

  • Entries close on Friday 27th October at 11:59 pm

  • Winners announced on Tuesday 31st October

To enter

  1. Upload your edited video to Instagram

  2. Follow and tag @UTSstudyabroad #utsstudyabroad #videocompetition

  3. Include a caption addressing which theme you have chosen. Feel free to also explain briefly your inspiration for choosing this theme.

Rules

  • No videos or photographs incorporating illegal or dangerous activities and/or alcohol will be considered.

  • Only submit content that belongs to you.

  • You MUST be a currently enrolled inbound UTS Study Abroad or Exchange student.

  • Your video must be at least 30 seconds (you can also add music if you want to)

  • You can post as many videos as you like until the closing date.

  • If you video other people, you must obtain their prior consent before filming.

Selection criteria:

UTS International will pick the best 4 videos to be featured in the official UTS Study Abroad Spring 2017 video based on the following criteria:

  • Presence of the themes mentioned above

  • Originality and creativity

Prizes

Winners will receive UTS hoodies, a small UTS gift pack and be featured in the official UTS Study Abroad Video for Spring 2017.

Please note that the videos you submit may be used for a range of purposes, but principally for use in materials produced by UTS. This may include, but is not limited to, magazines, brochures, leaflets, podcasts, websites and other electronic media. By participating in the competition, you are acknowledged the intended uses (above) and give your permission for the videos to be reproduced without limitation. You also agree not to seek payment from the University and release the University from any and all liability associated with the use by UTS, or a third party, of the videos.
