Hi guys,
I'm Matias and I'm currently studying at the University of Technology Sydney. In Germany I study Masters of Business Administration with a focus on finance at the Goethe University Frankfurt.
Why I chose UTS/Sydney for Study Abroad:
In the decision-making process for the semester abroad, it was important that I could study in an English-speaking country, where I can improve my English skills and have extraordinary travel opportunities. UTS was my choice from the beginning, as a friend had studied there in the past and had consistently reported positive things.
A typical day in my role:
Typically, my day starts with a coffee. Then I dedicate myself to the more complex task of studies. After working for about an hour I practice sports and then have breakfast. Depending on the day of the week and study phase, I attend classes or work in the library. In addition, I try to spend some time in nature every day as it relaxes me. Either I go to the park, to the beach or visit the national parks. The evening often ends with friends on the rooftop.
When I’m not studying you’ll most likely find me:
In my spare time I like to go to the beach, play table tennis or chess in the dorm or go hiking.
My favourite thing about my experience abroad so far:
On a sailing trip, I had the opportunity to observe seven whales that had swum under our boat.
Something I want to tick off my bucket list:
As part of the semester abroad, I would like to obtain a scuba diving certificate, as Australia is the ideal place to scuba-dive.
